Raw goat's milk is a nutrition powerhouse. It is considered to be one of the most nutritionally complete foods to nearly all species, including dogs. Goat's milk is rich in vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, trace elements, enzymes, protein, and fatty acids. It is also less likely to cause allergies than cow's milk and is easy to digest.
So, we took all the goodness of unpasteurized raw goat's milk, sourced from local goats who are pasture raised, fed a healthy, natural diet, and free from antibiotics and hormones, and made it better, by fermenting it! The fermentation process adds more probiotics which metabolize the lactose in milk and combine with its other nutrients. It's also a great product to help with yeasty dogs.
Although fermentation has been around for thousands of years, only recently have the benefits in fighting modern chronic illnesses such as arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, gastric ulcers, colitis, intestinal pathogens and even brain disorders been understood.
After fermenting, we freeze dried this amazing product, because freeze drying is one of the oldest and best methods of natural preservation. Once freeze dried, the product is stable until rehydrated. Generally, freeze dried products have a shelf life of up to twenty years when stored in light blocking sealed bags.
One bag of freeze dried raw goat's milk kefir rehydrates to approximately 4-5 litres of milk.
It can be used dry, or rehydrated with approximately 1-2 tablespoons to 1 litre of water. Start out giving your pet small amounts and gradually increase the amount.
